OUR FAVORITE THINGS!
Beaches:

Mokapu Beach, my absolute favorite! Mokapu is a great bay for swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding. SUP's and kayak's can be rented at the Andez.

Palauea Beach aka Chicken Beach. A quite bay with big waves. No restroom or showers.

Po’olenalena Beach,  is a flatter beach with long rolling waves, excellent for boogie boarding. Also with access to Turtle Town, from the shore! Making for amazing snorkeling at the south end.

Napili Bay is about 45 min north and one of my favorites. You can walk to Kapalua bay to snorkel and hike the Kapalua trail for amazing views! The Beach House for lunch, is right on Napili bay! Or you can hike to the Burger Shack on  DT Fleming Beach.

Big Beach - Big sandy beach with big waves. I like parking at the 3rd/last entrance. Lots of boggie boarders and some surfers to watch.

Baby Beach - Just south of Big Beach. A small and unique cove. Can be dangerous during a big swell.

Kaanapali Beach - Big wide beach with lots of great hotels and restaurants. There is a public parking lot near the Marriott. Again look for the yellow parking marker.

SNORKELING: Mornings are best.

The reef between Mokapu and Ula beaches is an easy place to see lots of fish and usually turtles. You can swim all the way around the reef.

Po’loenalena Beach infront of the Makena Surf to see lots of turtles! On the south end you can swim out to the reef, you will see snorkel trip boats out over the reef in the mornings.

Parking tip, there is a small 12 car parking lot in front of the Mekena Surf with a sidewalk thru the Mekena Surf. Pass the main parking lot and look for the yellow marker.

Five Graves has a trail to a more experienced dive spot.

Kapalua Bay - next to Napili easy entrance on the north end and lots of sea life.

Stand Up Paddle boarding: Rentals available at the Grand Wailea or the Andez on Mokapu beach.

Kayaking: You can rent Kayaks at Makena Landing.
